Barbados | Aged | 43% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Produced in Barbados by master distiller Richard Seale, the rums in Doorly XO have been aged a minimum of 6 years before finishing in Olorosco sherry casks. The second maturation in sherry casks is rare and gives Doorly XO its unique flavour.

A fantastic rum, made with great skill. It's not a syrup ladened foo foo rum. It's gets even better with a bit of oxidisation. Can punch you in the face when a new bottle is opened and isn't let to sit in the glass for about 10 mins. However when treated right it opens up to be multifaceted enjoyment juice. Everyone should have a bottle of Doorly's in the cabinet.
Not sure where the previous reviewer paid $25-30 for this but I got two bottles at Total Wine in Florida for $15 each.
RL seales is known for advocating purity in rum and as such doesn't sweeten or doctor his rums in any way, so might not appeal to some who are used to sweetened rums such as Diplomatico, Zaya or Zacapa,, but this is rum as it should be.
Extremely sippable; my favorite from Barbados.
I love this rum and always have a bottle on the counter. Has a bit of a bourbon taste to it. Not very sweet. Dry taste but very smooth and long lasting.
I like sipping some Doorly's as an everyday rum. It's a step up from Old Brigand for the Foursquare products. I like their Rum Sixty Six and R.L. Seale better. Doorly's can be found in NJ and DE. Unfortunately, Rum Sixty Six is found in Barbados and Europe... and my bottle is empty. I would recommend Doorly's to complement the others.
Nice smooth rum
Easy sipping and well priced.
Quite smooth (as you'd expect from an aged rum), but a bit disappointing with regards to complexity of flavors.
The nose is also perhaps a bit underdeveloped for something with a "XO" label on it.
It has that distinctive light and fruity Bajan nose. .
"Itβs nicely balanced and subtle on the nose. The rum is initially quite sweet with notes of toffee, banana, a little orange and citrusy lemon/lime. The finish is long and quite spicy with a hint of oak."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Ok a know a fair few people that absoulutely love this rum but for the 25-30 bracket i can think of a good few id rather to be honest. It is a good rum dont get me rum but a couple of mates were raving about this to me n when i tried it i was like 'huh, yeah thats ALRIGHT...' Maybe it had been hyped up too much before? I dont know but you could still sip it over ice with a kind of light buttery, toffee finish.
