This one is really good for mixing. Light floral flavors, no harsh alcohol burn, no overly sweet notes.
Surprising taste, I'm not the biggest fan of light runs but this one was very good. It mixed very well, especially when making more complicated drinks. If you're looking to find a quality light run for the price this is it cheif.
This is my go to mixing rum...great neutral rum flavour at a decent price.
This is my go-to PR rum for punches, and especially coquito. It’s a better value Demerara than the others at this price point (Bacardí, Barrilito 2 star), no frills, no additives.
The best Light Spanish Rum...ever. Full stop. Light, dry, fruity, and sweet. Perfect.
In my early days of exploring rum cocktails-which was, uh, not too long ago-this was the first budget rum that I came to appreciate. In a bind, it’s worked in simple rum highballs and on the cheap daiquiris. It’s been a bit since I’ve tried it, and I wanna visit, but flor de cana extra seco has become, and I think will continue to be, my go to white rum. What does that mean? Basically, I gotta smile when I see this as a bars well rum, but as long as I can buy something a little higher, I will.
It's honestly hard for me to be fair on this review as, I grew up drinking this stuff!!!!...this is THE rum people drink widely in the Island....Bacardi, is known locally as a rum for tourists...Serralles, however, is what we all grow up drinking....the QIUZZWER was my very first drink growing up and to this day goes great with any mixer. Mentiritas (little lie) as Cuba Libre's are known in PR are done up with Don Q....
Is it THE best ....NO.....but its a great drink to relax to!!!!
Love it!!!
I am a recent explorer of the rum variety. I have drank Bacardi and Captain ever so often when i was younger. My cousin a while back introduced the Don a while back when he came back from Puerto Rico on a business trip.
I was taken by its smoothness and subtle rum flavor. When it was eventually widely available in my area i tend to turn to the Don when i am hosting or wanting mixed drinks. Not my favorite neat but bearable.
Its a good rum, but its too difficult to find it in Mexico.
Reasonably priced and easy to get in my area. This is what I reach for when I want a mojito.
There is a sweetness but it is more that of young alcohol than any real defined aromas. .
"It is surprisingly “smooth” and quite easy to sip. The sweetness from the rum is very sugary rather than fruity. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Pleasant aroma, very floral. Smooth, nuetral flavor. Nice in daqari, mixes well with most mixers. I like
