Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum is distilled from molassis in copper pot stills and then aged in small oak casks for on average 12 years before being bottled.
Produced in Venezuela, which has a rich rum history dating to 1896, the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva distillery is located on the northern slopes of the Andes mountains.

Heerlijk zachte rum. Haast zonde om er cola bij door te mixen.
I was excited to try this after reading the reviews! I had to ice it, and it smells and tastes wonderful!
I'm going to buy two next time I'm in Wendover-this is a must have in your collection.

It's perfect for sipping. You need to drink it with a cigar. Perfect aftertaste, oak, spices and vanilla flavor.

It's good rum, just not worth the money. There are plenty of better options.

This is a good rum. Nice for sipping and not too expensive. It has a good flavour with no burn but it is rather sweet.

Great rum for sipping, mellow. A bit sweet if that bothers you, but not offensively so imo.

I’m used to drier rums, so this one is a sweet one for sure. I understand why this would be drinkable/smooth, but for the price, there are other rums that don’t rely on sugar to be drinkable. Still not a bad rum, but not my style.

Extremely sweet, vanilla, toffee, liquorice and oak flavours are what I find dominates this fantastic rum

Amazing caramel nose, could smell this stuff all day. Taste is overwhelming brown sugar. It's sweet but not overpowering with burnt caramel slight short nice finish. Easy to sip on, maybe a little too sweet for more than 1 glass and not hugely complex - a definite recommend for new raters.
