It's very approachable and smooth. A little too sweet, but not egregious. I'm not stocking this bottle, but I didn't hate it.

A good, versatile rum, should be or have been in every cabinet.

When I was behind the bar we carried this for around a year. Ended up being the only ones who drank it haha, for daqs…no great. There is nothing wrong with this rum. But it is a tad bit too sweet for what I consider to be upper tier “scratches every itch” for a rum. Even by itself. Could be used for a T punch but then why not just take a higher proof and rip a Daq…get your dark sugar notes from a rich Demerara syrup to pair with a higher proof rum to bring more complexity and balance. I still have a LONG way to go in my rum journey. But for me-this just ain’t it. On any front.

I have tried many Rums, and this one is a good all around sipper, It was also priced at about 30 + dollars. Would recommend to people who have not tried rums as sippers. Poor it over 1-3 ice cubes. Has a good balance and enough sweetness. It makes a great daiquiri too. Fresh 1/2 to 3/4 oz lime juice, 1 & 1/2 to 2 oz of rum, one teaspoon simple syrup, shake over ice and strain.

Balanced rum with sweet notes of caramel and vanilla. Smooth finish, lacks complexity.

Simply exceptional, no matter what way you drink this rum it is fantastic. At this price range it can't be beaten. Will I buy again, absolutely

Diplomatico is indeed a wonderful rum. Sweet but not too much so. The first thing I notice with this one is a hint of smoked out, oaky caramel, hint of vanilla with a touch of the bourbon oak cask that you really can taste but not in an overwhelming way like some rums left in too long. A good buy in my opinion.

An average rum that is good to drink on a casual occasion. Its price is acceptable.
