Diplomatico Ambassador Selection

So smooth, so many flavours. Expensive but got to be done!

I like diplomatico rums. This one has been in my sights for a long time. But I got dissapointed.

Smell is very woody, but tastes very similar to familia version, but not worth the money. In time, when familia version was not on the market, it made sense. But not now.

Another top quality by Diplomatico.
Solid rum with long final

Raffinato e complesso, con punte dolci di amarena e un finale aromatico di frutta e frutta secca, in pieno stile Diplomatico

Super smooth. Great palate of flavors. Not as sweet as the cheaper versions of Diplomatico.

Nice rum with notes of dark chocolate, raisins, molasses, figs, dates, cinnamon, blackberries, nutmeg, guava, treacle, mocha, and butterscotch. In a blind tasting this can be mistaken for a Spanish Brandy De Jerez.

A bitter dos maderas, burns more than expected for such an expensive bottle, has the pedro Jimenez finish but too bitter and burns more than I would’ve liked

Nice deep color with the taste of dark chocolate, cinnamon and nuts.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Diplomatico Ambassador Selection ranks around 9 for me, it is complex and refined, with deep aromas of dried fruits, rich chocolate, nuts, and a subtle hint of smokiness from the sherry cask finish. Its quality, complexity, and the care put into its production make it stand out as one of the top offerings in the rum world.

Tasting this solidified my love for rum. Haven't found another that beats this
