Cruzan Light

A fair amount of alcohol on the nose, which soon gives way to vanilla and fruit. Slightly briny on the palate; off-dry. I'd guess this is a blended rum? Overall, I'm very impressed!

Love it when bars have this as their rail rum. Very clean, not a ton of flavor, but that makes it a great mixer. Crisp, almost floral, and very smooth.

This is my go to rum for cocktails that require a basic rum. Flavorful.

This rum is a little darker than your typical white rum. Whether this is coloring or barrel color from less extensive filtering I'm not sure. There is a bit of alcohol on this one on the nose and in the mouth. There is not a massive amount of flavor but has a medium rum vigor. Overall I would say tolerable straight and at the cost of it there really is not much this cheap in this quality.

I would recommend Cruzan rums in general. They make a great standard in all flavors with some of the best price points in the market. This is a must have for any bar. The light has smooth finish with a hint of vanilla. Mixes well with colas and boat style drinks.Where it is not a premium you can still serve neat and on rocks.

Clear. Has a little bite up front. You get a little vanilla and oak tones. It's a good column stilled lightly aged white rum. Perfect for mixed drinks

This is my go-to light rum for mixing or with Coke. Can't beat it for the price. It gets a 6 only because I prefer dark and gold rums, but every home bar needs a light rum.

Here is a "good" basic rum, can be a bit harsh, but generally a good mixer for drinks like monitor or rum punch. We I worked on St. Croix a bottle of Coke cost more than a bottle of Cruzan so we mixed about equal parts.

A decent alternative to Bacardi. I do prefer Bacardi by a small margin because the Bacardi is a bit smoother
