Cruzan Black Strap

For me it is my third choice in black rums, behind Captain Black and Kracken. The first Bottle i Drank had no bite at the end but the next one had a lot more

Coats the mouth with a film like drinking cheap soda. Way too much sugar and flavorings.

Just like the Kraken but better. Sweet but very tasty in a mixed drink.

The bottle and label looked enticing and my favorite dark Jamaican rum (Blackwell) was out of stock, so I thought I'd give this stuff a try. To me it tastes like bad concentrated maple syrup, not like any of the other dark or black rums I enjoy. You can have the nearly full bottle if you want it!

Dark color. Strong on the nose. Sweet taste. I like it but only a little at a time.

Great smooth molasses flavour. Doesn't have a particularly strong finish but easy to drink neat. Sweet and tasty

Not for me but given the sub $20 price I think it’s an OK rum for young rum drinkers. One neat and then with ice was all I could handle. Will not buy again but decent mixer.

Super dark with a strong flavor that might be too much for many. I like it with a rock.

Dark liquid awaits the taste which hits with a butterscotch flavor right from the start. The flavor abruptly ends after that initial delicious taste. Not a bad rum but I’m cautious as how to drink.
