Dark mixing rum. Good with ginger beer. You really can taste the molasses. This is for mixing or cooking only.

First off, the label in Canada looks like it was printed in the worst part of the 1980's. A fellow recommended it to me. I should've known better when he said, "If you like this, you should try Lemonhart". Too alcohol-y, almost paint thinner.

I was expecting something quite nice with a 7 average rating (At the time of writing) The nose on this one is very strong on the alcohol even though its only 37.2 ABV . Quite a bit of burn on the way down even mixed. Its drinkable but quite harsh. Perhaps many of the ratings are because of good times while its being consumed or they were rating the Dark not the Original. Straight this is undrinkable and a serviceable mixer. 4 from me, could consume in a bind but there are much better choices at this end of the market

This Rum has been around for ages, It's an ok rum, but surpassed by many others in quality and taste. Still does the job for Punches and cocktails if you have nothing better at hand.

Not to my liking. Too sweet and artificial. Would not drink unless masked heavily in a cocktail. Edit - there is a clear Jamaican funk which is pleasant Revised to a 4

I know you shouldn’t expect much from this rum but it’s just so hard to drink.

The only time I will comfortably touch a bottle of Coruba is if I have had far too many drinks prior.

I mean it’s still rum.
