Very soft, but no lasting flavour... not my kind of rhum

Difficult to say what it was about this, but I generally did not like it. There seemed to be bight and an aftertaste that I found unpleasant.

Bought this with some vouchers i had and for £38 it’s not that great. Quite rough on the palate and with some slight burn. It’s ok but not great.

Riecht in der Flasche gut, im Glas schon deutlich schärfer. Als Fan von milden, fruchtigen, süßen Rumvarianten, trifft dieser nicht meinen Geschmack.

This rum has a very harsh alcohol taste. I would put it in a tea on a cold rainy day. But otherwise this is a complete miss for me. Add few more bucks and buy something like Mount Gay XO. It might work though, if you are seeking that "alcohol punch". Than again many cheaper bottles have that as well.

Der er ikke meget at sige om denne middelklasse rom

This frustrates me that the best appleton rum I have tried is the special gold as any other aged rum seems over sweet and the complexion of the taste altered too much which is a shame really. With other rum companies they entice you by flavours to taste the more expensive stuff, I find with Appleton I am less inclined to taste the older more expensive rum..

Saw this at a bargain price, and was hoping for a bargain Jamaican sipper.

I get a sharp attack of column still top notes with a kinda varnish like taste.
Finish lingers with apple, varnish and a touch of toffee.

The more I drink this, the less I like it.
For me ,it has a tone of sour apples, and that does nothing for me.
