While is smooth and the right amount of sweet it lacks any flavor. One that I was disappointed about.

a very, very, very, very sweet rum. i thought the a.h.riise are top of the sweetest rums, but this one is the same class. adding a teaspoon of sugar and its a liqueur. thats not my imagination of rum. its liquid surgar with hints of rum.

This would be a 5 it didn't have the too sweet aftertaste ... This is stupidly sweet and has heaps of sugar added into it

On the nose I can smell furniture polish, nuts, cocoa and traces of citrus fruits. This strange combination of smells reminds me of Mombacho 15y which I panned month ago. The taste is simple, sweet, spicy (the only component which I appreciate here) combination of dried fruits, milk chocolate, sherry and a bit of molasses. As if someone tried to mimic Diplomarico 12y and did not get it right (and added more sugar). The aftertaste is a mix of sweet and spicy, actually surprisingly spicy for a heavily sweetened rum. I have read a hydrometer test which shows shocking 90gpl+, which is hard to believe - but there might be other additives. The age statement is a joke of course - wood cannot be detected in direct smell or taste, only in an emptied glass (on par with 5y rums). Considering the price tag which is sligtly under Diplomatico 12y, well - I had worse rums than this. Review is based on a sample (thanks God).

No thank you, this is just premiumisation by added sweetness. A liqueur? YES. NOT a rum.
