Not bad, but zero complexity. Balance is lacking. Thin with a short finish. Bite is a little rough. Definitely could have used more time in the barrel. It has some nice vanilla and dark fruit notes. Hints of oak and coffee. But overall, not up to this distillery’s standards.
This is the rum of all inclusive resorts, reminds me of Jamaica !
I really like the smell of this rum - toffee banana, nutmeg, burnt sugarcane.
Taste is also pleasant with moderately sweet vibes and some light pepper on the background. Downside is that the taste is a bit thin for me and finish is quite short. Given the fact that Appleton probably tried to push this both for mixing and sipping market in my mind they have actually succeeded. It’s a good example that both works well on its on neat and mixed with sodas and other things. I love the fact that it adds some oaky body to cuba libres and it actually tastes real good.
Definitely can’t go higher than a 7 because of the excessive filtering and blending but 6 feels too low for this rum.
Decent rum for the price, mix with lime simple syrup and cola
Made Dons own grog with this. Made for a nice night on the porch.
I enjoy the Signature Blend for mixing. Yes this one is better but considering this isn't a sipper and for the price I can't really say this is worth the upgrade. It's still a solid rum.
A step up from their regular label, great for rum & coke or Piña Colada.
I bought this rum after a Disney cruise as I thought it my be what I had there but signature blend turned out to be what they were serving. This is much better than the signature blend but still not a rum I would buy regularly.
Good and sweet. Rich caramel - good value but not as good as 12 or 15 year
Nice spicy oak notes dominate, with only hints of fruit and just a small undertone of funk.
"A fruity experience. It’s initially quite sweet – nice fruity notes banana, mango maybe a little grape, which fade into an almost tangy dry zesty spice. The finish is medium long."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This rum is just ok. Nothing specially good or bad.
