A. H. Riise 1888 Copenhagen Gold Medal

Fine, sweet and distinctly fruity and great rum, as is customary with A. H. Riise. taste of raisins, caramelized pineapple, sweet spices and dark sugar.

Vanilla, banana, caramel, fruit notes, spices, I like it..

Of all the Riise lineup this is my favourite. Not too sweet, not tangy aftertaste. just sweet pleasure in a glass.

I tested this rum alongside with Black Tot 50th Aniversary and Real McCoy Prohibition Tradition.
Comparing to them-super sweet. Even if I like sweet rums but this is too much.
For me-artificial nose and flavor of vanilla.

Incredibly good and sweet taste. The whole bottle is gone in an instant, unless you’re careful.

If you want to try out this brand, try this cheapest bottle first. Basically, all the other ones are just variants of this same anise taste.
