Black Magic Black Spiced

I found this on a shelf of some scattered leftover bottles at my local store. $11?? Yes, I will try (what thirsty soul wouldn't?). Surprised the socks off of me! My honest rating would be a 5, but the value definitely adds a point.

Smooth mouth feel going into a moderate throat burn that finished in a lasting warmth. Cinnamon, nutmeg, marshmallow, and carmel flavors. Very sweet to the point of the sweetness taking over the lengthly and pleasantly warm finish. If not for the sweetness, this may have been a black spiced rum we could actually sip! Anyway, it pairs well with most colas and decent in ginger as well.

Others have mentioned sweet vanilla or cinnamon. For me it tastes like a mid range spiced rum thats had a black jelly bean dropped in it.

Very very easy to drink with coke. It doesn't blow my mind but I have simple tastes (Yet to try the big guns to see if they are worth it).

For me if you like Krakken you'll like black magic. Very similar level rum.

Dark color, like a coffee. Sweet aroma of caramel and vanilla. Hint of cinnamon.
Taste sweet, spicy, toasty sugar and vanilla flavor. Smooth and soft mouthfeel. no strong aftertaste. pleasant to drink as is. also suitable for drinks.

Tasted from the nipper bottle purchased at Total Wine Tampa. Pours an auburn brown color. Aroma of Mr. Pibb soda. Flavor is sickening sweet and all vanilla. This is appropriate for my 420th rum because you’d have to be high to enjoy this.

Tastes from a mini bottle in Tampa while on holiday. Note: the lid is hard to remove.
Appearance: dark amber
Aroma: sweetness with caramel and cinnamon/pie spice
Flavor: like a Christmas cake combined with pumpkin bread.
This should not count as real rum, yet I like it. Perhaps because I can taste nutmeg, I think.
This would be excellent with cola or cream soda on ice.

Very sweet rum, in you wanna start your travel with rum , this is for you, next gen after that rum, you must try bumbu oryginal. Thst rum taste vanilla, cynamon. Very very sweet!

A quick buy when I can't decide and do not desire to be adventurous. A favorite of mine.
