This is the entry level rum from Flor de Cana and I have always raved about it's 7 year old big brother as being such a great value. Well this one is $16 per bottle and $6 cheaper. I once had a man in the supermarket ask which one he should get and I told him that the 7 year old was worth the few extra bucks. He must have been broke because he bought this one instead. At any rate, I also don't regret buying this one again. The aroma has no alcohol burn and mellow sweet wood greets the palate. The slight burn going down the pipe is what makes this one different from the 7 year old. It can be sipped neat, but is not really complex enough. Drink it on the rocks or in any favorite mixed drink. At this price, one will never feel guilty about drinking too much. As an added bonus, there is no added sugar, which means no hangover.

Young and dry rum. Not for sipping. Better for drinks, but I know better rums for drinks.

Smaczny i ciekawy, naturalny. Ciekaw jestem 12yo lub starszych z tej destylarni.

Good rum for the good price. I’ve drank it on my trip to Costa Rica. Wonderful place to taste it;)

Bought a 375 to give it a chance. Likely will not purchase again, as I have too many others on my wish list.

I don’t remember thinking very highly of it.
Not something I’ll go back to, but I will try some of the older Flor de caña bottles in the future.
I’m no elitist.

Very balanced for a 4-yo rum. Has power, kick and some funk. All you can want from a rum. Absolutely no bullshit stuff. Very reasonably priced.

Me sorprendio gratamente , para ser un ron de 4 años , hermoso color y sabor y mas aun imbatible por su precio aca en argentina poco mas de 12 dolares , se nota porque han sido tan premiados los Flor de Caña

I got started with flor de Cana. It’s a great way to transition from mixers to straight sipping. Smooth and reliable, but nothing fancy. Priced very well.

This is my now go to mixer. Cheap at under 20 bucks for a handle and its got a nice basic rummy flavor. Not having any overly unique flavors means this rum will be compatible with a lot of drinks.

I’m not a fan of drinking this one straight. Has a good smell and nice color, but I don’t like the bite. I prefer it mixed with some coke, which mellows the taste but still adds a nice rum flavor to my drink.
