Old Monk XXX 7-Year

От рома там мало чего есть, сильно сладкий, сильно пряный, но достаточно питкий. Это не ром, а напиток на его основе.

Was really looking forward to this one, but was let down pretty quickly. First impression on the nose right away was strong vanilla and melted plastic. The first tastes (straight up) reinforce the nose. I had to do a double take and make sure I wasn't just drinking vanilla extract. They seem pretty close. I'm going to have to go fairly low on my impression of this right now, but I've got plenty of time to reevaluate as I've got a whole bottle. It may be something that needs to be acquired over time.

Gout sucré à la limite artificiel. On peut sentir les notes de caramel brulé et de vanille. Un gout different me rappellant le plastic brulé. Difficile de l'évalué car ce rhum est très différents de tout ce que j'ai pus gouter. Personnellement je n'est pas trop apprécié.

It sure smells appealing, it’s just too bad it doesn’t taste anywhere near how good it smells. Thankfully it was only $20, but that’s also $20 that could have been applied towards a much better option

Very cheap - bought for 5 usd on airport in Emirates. The taste is on the same level with price - very bad. It taste similar like "local" version of rum from my country that was made from potatoes...

Smell very good.Taste Vanilla flavour. Good for mixed drinks.

Not my favorite piece, but nice to have sth “exotic” in selection.

A friend told me this is what they used to drink in the parks in New Delhi when they were younger, as it did the job and did it quickly. Quite sweet tasting.

The color does look like a barrel aged rum, yet the smell and taste are not really inviting. It is not bad, do not get me wrong, but I guess you could achieve that with generic alcohol base + color + flavor. The profile is not balanced which is suspicious, not well integrated but harsh and edgy in a slightly unpleasant way. It is drinkable if you are in an Indian restaurant (or on holidays in the country) but I would not buy a bottle.

I really did not like this one it had a weird after taste that i cant describe.
