Growing up Captain Morgan was all I knew for rum. It was my go to for rum. Having tried other, more pricey brands that are better for sipping, Captain Morgan is still a good rum for cocktails.

Sweet aftertaste but a little artificial tasting. I do like this and can easily drink it (neat) but for me the better option (if I'm going for a cheaper dark rum) is Old Hopking (from Aldi) at around £5.00 less for a 70cl bottle.

Not great, drinkable with mixer, better than the flavoured CM’s. I would just pay a bit more and get better rum if I were you and avoid the strong burn in the throat

Not a bad choice for a party or some simple summer drinks. But not a true rum at all.

This drink was ok, but not that enjoyable, maybe I'm not into my dark rums, but this one is definitely not a great sipping drink, even mixed, I feel like a teenager just drinking to get drunk

Last resort rum if there is no other option and with a lot of coke or in cocktails

I just wanted to see if it's as bad as they say it is. Bought at low price stock. The color is beautiful, the smell immediately reminded me of the cough medicine that my grandmother gave me as a child in a teaspoon. The taste was the same. The result is a synthetic drink in which the taste of rum can only be found if there is a desire to justify the money spent on this drink, namely the drink, since it does not smell like real rum. But if you want to remember childhood colds, then do not spare a little money. You will immediately feel the taste and smell of anise drops, burnt sugar, the same taste of licorice, familiar in childhood. I don’t know if anyone idolizes it, but I still drank a little of the bottle I bought. But he could not find a use for it. I won't buy another, that's for sure.
