Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV
Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.
The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

Nothing special but very round and easy drinking
No overpowering sweetness nor alcohol.
Light attack and round spicy finish.
Pleasantly surprised !
usually if you see any liquor from latin americas with the wording 'anejo', you would associate it with some lengthy aging sufficient to smooth out the edges of the character... but not so much in this case. or i may have had higher expectations due to the labeling...
anyways, not too shabby but there are so many other better rums at similar price points.
For mixing only. Nothing special for me . Average.
Just your average mixing rum, nothing more nothing less

Parfait en Cuba libre, sur une plage, devant le soleil couchant !
Not my favorite but it will do if there's nothing more decent to drink.
It tastes like shit.Even with Cola is terrible.Drink another rum.
This rum has a distinct woodiness to its aroma in the bottle. I came to that conclusion before reading the label and discovering it to have been aged in oak casks. Upon further research I discovered the oak barrels used to contain bourbon. That explains not only the aroma but also its mellowness. This is a fine sipping rum with bare hints of sweetness and a complex flavor that does remind me of Kentucky bourbon. Some may prefer this as a sipping rum but IMHO it's best in cola.
One point...fishnets on a woman...sexy. Fishnets on a bottle of rum....weird. :-)
Nice gentle notes of vanilla and banana with a slight nutty aroma and a light oaked aroma.
"The rum is fairly smooth, however this gives way to a very strong burn upon swallowing. There are notes of oak and tobacco throughout the tasting but they aren’t very hard hitting at all."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is an expensive rum and the taste confirms it. Really its an ok rum, better than the other cheap rums. My dad bought a 1L bottle so we wont waste it. I think it make a pretty good Mai Tai or Rum Punch.
