Malteco 15-Year

Un super produit vraiment pas cher, je l'ai trouvé à 29€ et il est comparable au Zapaca à 69€!!!! ne pas hesiter ;-)

Just as the well known Zacapa (also from Guatemala), the Malteco is not made from molasse, but from sugar cane sirup. This production method is a guatemalan specialty.

Nose: caramel, oak, vanilla. Slightly spicy. Great, well balanced body.

Palate: very smooth and well balanced, some hints of chili and smoke maybe. Unfortunately, the aftertaste is not lasting very long. But this is still one of the top rums I've ever tasted. Definitely worth buying!

The sweetness reminds me of Zacapa 23. Very round and fudgy. Seductive smell and varmth in taste.

We can compare this rum to the 23yo Zacapa and so did i.
It has a nice mahagony colour, in the nose a little sting of alcohol side by side with fruits and chocolate. The first sip: dark chocolate,delighting sweetness and again the little alcohol afterburn. Not as smooth as Zacapa 23yo but i might prefer that way. At least i know that i'm having a rum and not candy. Great rum and half the price of the Zacapa 23yo at least here in Europe. Not too common to buy tho.

Sweet aroma, sweet and smooth taste. Good sipper for reasonable price.

A good rum to drink with friends on a party. Nice flavours, interesting finish. Good value.

Malteco 15 ans Reserva Maya est couleur ambre.
Au nez le rhum offre des arômes de miel et d’épices douces (cannelle)

En bouche, il est doux et apporte des notes de tabac blond.

Il Rum Malteco viene creato utilizzando il succo appena estratto dalla canna da zucchero e non la melassa.
Gusto rotondo con sentori di tabacco e legno.
Abbastanza economico rispetto ad altri ma veramente un ottimo rum. Consigliatissimo

Excellent rum, especially combination with dark chocolate.
