Opthimus 21-Year

Guter Rum, schmeckt mild und komplex, nicht allzu süss. Im Glas entfaltet er viele Aromen, Holz, Karamell, Vanille und Kaffee, im Mund sind diese Nuancen ebenfalls zu spüren. Der Preis leider ist im Vergleich mit anderen Mitbewerbern etwas zu hoch.

Here we have a complex rum. Very smooth nose. A bit sweet but very tasty. A nice long aftertaste. Will recommend it any day!

Une vrai réussite pour ce rhum ! Long en bouche, du sucre mais pas trop, des notes de fruits mûre, caramel, vanille...et une fraîcheur presque mentholée ! Vraiment top !

i smell some banana! brandy, dark chocolate, caramel. some smoke.
i taste bitterness, oak, some sharp tones. banana, ester, orangepeel, raisins. a little bit less smooth than the 25.
6/10. although the banana ist something speical!
if you like sweet rums, this is an option for you!

This one does not taste bad. The thing is that i prefer my rums with a variaty of tastenotes and no added sugar... this one is just uninteresting!

Not the best one from Oliver Oliver distillery. I expected something better but still really good rum. Classic sweetness from Dominican Republic with light alcohol burn for me. Give it a try.

Medium bodied and elegant, slight coffee impressions

Well, it is National Rum Day here in the states and I thought that I'd bring out the best. I am very fortunate & grateful to own these terrific bottles. Opthimus 21 is lighter in color than Paraiso. Nose is sweet with hints of caramel & banana. Nice, lingering finish with caramel notes. More burn on the backend than Paraiso. I sipped both "neat." Opthimus 21 is a terrific rum.
