Je to velmi kavove, velmi sladke ale zaroven kysle. Ak by som to mal hodnotit ako drink tak 6 ak ako rum tak za 3 s prizmurenym okom.

Ak ste veľký milovník kávy, tak odporúčam. S rumom to nemá nič spoločné

Why do they need to do this? Fucking up rums with artificial flavour? One drink is ok...two and more are painfull.

Pleasant coffee taste. Nothing extra, but it won't offend the taste.

Po základnej Republike a Reserve skúšam aj tretí v poradí - kávový elixír o voltáži 35%. Keď chlapi pijú rum, ženy obvykle siahnu po tejto maškrte a nesťažujú sa. Vôňa aj chuť je jednoznačne silná káva, celkom pozitívne hodnotím, že likér nie je presladený. Vychutený je naozaj fajn, nie je cítiť žiadnu umelosť. Naopak negatívom je fakt, že kávová aróma valcuje všetko ostatné. Som kávičkár, takže mi to neprekáža, no od rumu to má pomerne ďaleko, po dube ani stopy. Aj záver je len veľmi krátky, nejaké komplexné tóny nečakajte. Každopádne za tú cenu je drink úplne v poriadku, pomer cena výkon výborný, pre nežnejšie pohlavie určite odporúčam. Jeden z tých lepších.

Když žena přinesla tento kousek domů, myslel jsem si, že to nebude nic pro mě. Ale mýlil jsem se. Likér není zase až tak sladký a krásně se v něm pojí kávový extrakt s chutí republiky. Vyloženě ostrá kofila. Na večerní upíjení s knihou to není, ale pro zábavu v kolektivu proč ne.

I was really worried that as a coffee enthusiast I would find the supposed coffee flavor unpalatable, and while that is partially true, I was still pleasantly surprised.
The smell is pronounced with strong coffee notes, vanilla, cinnamon, and a slight hint of peppermint. I have to note that the alcohol smell is strong in this one, although slightly muffled by the sweetness.
After taking my first sip, I appreciated the balanced sweetness. This elixir achieves what so many others get wrong. It still feels like my teeth are rotting away after that one time I dared to drink two shots of Santos Dumont XO elixir. The Republica, while being thick and viscous, is not overpowering with sugar.
The bottle says that it uses 100% arabica from Guatemala. While trying to appeal fancy, I'd swear they just used instant coffee. It has that typical taste, as well as unpleasant bitterness, and is overall characterless. The coffee they used has to be revolting by itself.
While the coffee note itself did not impress me, the whole still is quite good. I can also taste cinnamon, vanilla, as well as some oranges and clove. It is quite smooth in taste, no special flavors but a well-rounded experience.
I enjoyed this one and I'll give this a try with tonic next time. I think it might shine even better there. At this price point, it is a no-brainer among elixirs. Even though the coffee flavor is not great, together it creates for a promising spirit. Have they put more effort into sorting out high-quality coffee, this would easily be an 8/10 elixir for me.

Káva je patrná nejen z vůně, ale i z chuti. Rum je dost sladký a celkem pitelný. Dictador to ale není...
