Un rhum atypique, avec un gout tres prononcé d'agrume...a gouter avant l'achat !

All things but not rum, for me, it's the "redbull" of rum family.
Interesting to taste to understand what's a commercial product.

Un rhum trafiqué de partout, un goût de sirop pour la toux, mandarine, banane bonbon, vanille... Très très écœurant, bon pour les soirées d'ados comme les punchs old nick mais bien plus cher donc on se demande à qui ça s'adresse.
2 points pour le packaging.

I tried this at the UK rumfest in 2013 and found a very very sweet rum, like a vanilla liqueur...if they hadn`t made a quite original cocktail with it containing coconut flakes i wouldn`t have continued trying it, and i won`t buy it ever.

I've been able to taste this rum at the Paris RumFest in 2014. This rum has clearly been designed to reach the general public, not aged rum fans: It is syrupy, in appearance as in taste and reminds me some cough syrup that I had to drink when I was younger. Not really desagradable, but clearly not neither what I expect from an aged rum!
It could be compared to the Arcane Extraroma from Mauritius for its very fruitful taste and it probably shares with the Arcane the addition of cane syrup, even probably flavored cane syrup (artificially flavored or naturally, this is what remains to be determined in my opinion).
But the difference between these 2 rums stands in the fact that this addition has been reasonably well mastered in Mauritius when it has been completely missed in the Philippines. We're not so far from a Malibu rum, in my opinion.

Déjà il faut apprécier les rhums sirupeux car là on est servi. Les notes d'agrumes sont impressionnante, probablement trop pour qu'elles soient naturelle. Que se soit au nez ou en bouche elles dominent largement toutes les autres saveurs que l'on peut trouver dans ce Don Papa. Un Rhum que l'on pourrai qualifié de Rhum Vieux "arrangé" plus que Rhum vieux à part entière.
