Don Papa Small Batch

This is a great rum-based liqueur, Not really a Rum. If you want something sweet and mild and heavy in Vanilla, this is a good choice. Really shines in some Cocktails (Not Cuba libre or similarly composed Drinks, but rather Drinks that tend to be more on the sour side. Make Sure to Cut down on syrip wegen using this Drink!).
As a stand-alone Rum, Don Papa is good for beginners that are unfamiliar with Rum and people that Like spiced Rums, but is a Bit pricey for the flavour provided of you are looking for a 'proper' aged Rum (which to me is more than Made Up by the mixability).

Chtěl jsem ho zkusit už dávno , všichni o něm básnili .A je to asi dané i reklamou a moc pěknýma tubama , ale nesplnil mé očekávání . První co vás překvapí je vůně , je až přehnaná a neustále vás nutí čuchat ke sklence co to vlastně je ? Jsou tam cítit pomeranče a vanilka , hodně vanilky .Možná i něco víc ,ale ta vanilka všechno přebije .Ve výsledku to je jak nějaké bonbony ...působí to až uměle.
Chuť není úplně špatná a více méně kopíruje i čichový vjem jen ne tak extrémně , rum je méně sladký než se podle vůně tváří a má docela sílu a je vcelku hrubý a v krku pěkně zaškrábe ... .Třeba podobný Kraken mě přijde sladší a jemnější .
Dopiju flašku a novou určitě nekoupím .Ale za pokus stojí . Mě však nesednul .

Whilst not a traditional rum sat in barrels of wood for ages, there is a refreshing tang to this. It is non-offensive, unless you are looking to be offended. Yes, its sugary and for a cheery drink you can live with it. For £33 in the UK, there is a lot worse out there for the price point. Glad I have a bottle but I'm not sure I'd run out and replace when its gone.

The smoothest sweet taste combined with caramel and chocolate I've sampled in a spirit beverage.

I like that rum, very smooth. Not the best Don Papa but good.

Deze rum is goed verkrijgbaar.
Mooie fles met koker.
Geen slechte rum. Zacht, zoet en vanille.
Voor mij overheerst dit te veel. Zowel in reuk, als smaak en nasmaak

So, right off the nose, this one tells you that you're dealing with something other than rum. Think of a medicinal sort of eggnog/potpourri mix with a lot of extra sugar. The palate is pretty much the same and quite syrupy with really no hint of rum. It's more of a liqueur with a floral nog taste and smell. It's not bad if you mix it with Baileys Irish Cream, but honestly Baileys is better by itself.

Overall: Just as a rum, it's not really drinkable. If it was sold as a potpourri-flavored rum, the rating would have to be much higher, maybe a 6 or 7. The packaging and bottle are very nice, they just need to bring the rum up to speed.

Truly a nice sipper, very aromatic off the start, sweet smelling and not to overpowering of an alcohol smell. Very easy to switch around the gums prolonged flavor enjoyment, a bit sharp when swallowed, quickly goes away with a pleasant sweet aftertaste. This is a fairly sweet rum which I enjoy!
