I travel internationally quite frequently, and always glance at the duty-free Rum selection. This one in Miami is pretty decent, have you seen better? I wonder what the best is?

Dang, that is awesome. Most times I only see Captain Morgan & Bacardi. Maybe Appleton. Nice to see Abuelo, Flor de Cana & Santa Teresa. What are the two on the very bottom left?

Now I really wonder what those bottom left bottles are, too pixilated for me to tell when zooming in - guessing someone would recognize it... looks like 3 figure price points, so that narrows them down.

I also travel internationally. I find it to be a hit and miss game. Some airports have a great selection others don't. Some are way overpriced and others aren't. So, when I pull out my phone and go to this site I wind up doing good!

I find most duty free liquor stores over priced but have picked up several good rums and bargains in Madrid and Panama City airports. Also check for hard to find spirits like Blanton you can score for $60.

The bottom left 3, unsure of the very left one, but the middle and right are Ron Barcelo (Dominican Republic) and Myers (Jamaica). Haven't had either, but the Myers is an old standard in Jamaica from what I hear and Barcelo is supposed to be an ok sipper rum

Jimmy, I also frequent Tocumen airport in Panama and the Blanton is a good rum at a decent price but, my favorite, the Havana Club Maestro is double the price than it is at a local supermarket in the city. You gotta pick and choose.

HC Maestro is one of my favorite go to rums traveling abroad. Very nice with a bit more umph than typical Cuban rums. Local knowledge always pays off.

I just flew through San Jose in Costa Rica (SJO) and the selection was not terrible. Any Flor de Cana or Centanario could be found cheaper than I can get it at liquor store in United States, and they have pretty much the entire lineup. Then they have the other staples of Bacardi, Havana club (only the 7 años though) and captain Morgan.

Most European big airports are well stocked also with rums...otherwise If you have the opportunity, Dubai airport DXB has several duty frees and lot's of stock...

Jimmy, just returned from Panama and this time there was a special going on. I got 2 bottles of Havana club Maestro for $108. Now that's only a few more $$$ than the supermarkets. It usually goes for $78 a bottle which is almost double. And, this truly is a fantastic rum for just $54.

Dubai has a similar range, maybe a few more on offer but the prices are not really that competitive because it's a Mulism country, they import it so there's not really a saving if you know where to look online (in UK this would be Amazon). When I have travelled through Spain, it has not been as extensive as this. I think if your going to countries where the exchange rate is poorer you might get a slight better deal or central and South American countries...
