Everything fits...the only thing in excess is the sweetness of this divine spirit. Still...I can't get enough of it. Somehow, this drink slides better than even those I consider superior...fantastic harmony, incredible taste and balance...Give me more!

I enjoy this one with ice, some drops of amaretto and lime

Managed to snag a bottle at my local packie for $40. I've been hooked ever since. Still can't bring myself to have it any way but straight. Anything else does a disservice to the flavor profile.

Very tasty rum to drink solo, perfect on the rocks. It's very similar to el dorado 12. Highly recommended. For sure will get back to this when I finish the bottle

First encountered its inviting caramel smell. Then the smoothness is surprising. It's not too sweet. Definitely a very good sipper

Lovely, smooth, easy to drink rum. In my opinion, this one should be in everybody's cabinet..

I find rum is often a lonely pleasure (not so many rum lovers around me) but when it comes to the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, everybody just fall in loves with it after the first smell.
I first tested it thru a friend (who normally drink whisky) and already introduced it to some other friends who directly bought their own bottle.

Its amazing sweetness and strong vanilla flavor make it one of my first choice.
Then I think it would normally deserve a 9 instead of a 10, because the best rum should have something a bit more to it and be less sweet, but not everyone can spend $100+ for a rum, so to its price range it is simply the best rum out there!

PS: just changed him to 9 (and was even thinking 8) after tasting it with a Plantation 20th, then I thought it's sweetness overpowering, almost like syrup. I kept him a 9 for its price.

It is a both mild and dense. Rich in flavour but consistent. With great finish.

This is my go-to sipping rum. I buy this rum almost exclusively as I've tried many other kinds and keep coming back to it. It is a denser dark rum that is fairly smooth and nice and sweet. I've tried the regular Reserva, but it is a bit harsh for sipping in my opinion. The smokiness, sweetness and relatively high viscosity make this rum almost perfect!
