A layered rum -- It starts with a smooth tongue - the Cane grassiness is there slowly turning to molasses. Full of flavor - Fine mixer - Great by itself

Huge fan of their Dark so had to try the white. Nose is definitely different, very soft notes that seem to have a banana note. My second first sip, gave me nothing but a pepper note. Third sip started showing some of the notes of the Dark, after the peppper but the finish was more of the agricole notes. This fell somewhere between the Haitian Agricole I have and Cachaca. Good, but different. Need to find a cocktail for this one to shine.

Smells harsh but goes down smooth with an agricole taste without the funk. Perfect for cocktails.

I'm not a fan of clear rum but this is one of the better ones that I've tried. Minimal burn with a sweet, grassy flavor.

After recently trying the Lyon Dark Rum, I bought a bottle of their white rum that is used as the base for the dark. Both are bottled at 90 proof. I thought that maybe both would taste similar since the "spirit caramel" used on the dark rum is for "coloring" with both being unaged. In tasting both side by side blindfolded, if anyone cannot tell these two apart, then their taste buds are certainly gone. Their magic secret ingredient for their dark rum certainly makes that one a better rum. This one has lots of burn, almost like the peppery tequilas. After that fades, the agricole notes are a bit less than for their dark rum. This is a very unique white rum that would appeal to tequila lovers. As for sipping this one neat, no way. So it is either on the rocks or as a $31 US mixer.
