Not so dark, sweet palate but no sugar, just good blend.
assez boisé donc, mais assez rond également, on a un 18 ans bien travaillé
Le final reste présent avec le bois, le tabac et un coté "male" tres interessant.
du coup, je reprend un verre :-)
Dyb tung duft
Dejlig lang smag
Hænger lang tid i munden
Soft and sweet.
Complex but easy to drink
The taste is long and delicious.
Enjoyed in rössli bar. Sweet melasse with character
Appearance: Deep amber.
Nose: Lively, honeyed, with fresh and aromatic nose of cola, bergamot, dates, orange peel and vermouth. There is a very evident touch of esters, but it remains light and sunny.
Palate: Sweet and fruity but agile, with a lightness of mouthfeel that is quite refreshing. Sugarcane molasses, chocolate, raisins, and again a great balance between orange peel, cola and coconut.
Finish: Black tea, sugary sweetness, honey and complete smoothness: warm but not too peppery, with chamomile notes too.
Comment: A colourful decanter for the new release of our sweet and soft Panama rum. The finesse of Spanish style distillation gives life to a light-bodied rum with a great aromatic complexity and freshness, caressing and easy to drink, rich of tropical fruits, dates and chocolate.
Nose: Smoky, leather, dried fruits - infact smokey raisins (if ever a thing existed). Burnt sugar, milky coffee, molasses and caramel. Some barrel char and oak. Under the fatter notes is a light trace of menthol, some watermelon and even grape flavour jolly ranchers.
Palate: A bit (not a lot) sweet actually on delivery, hmmmmm, shame. Medium mouth feel. Apricots, loads of oranges, flambed orange rind, dates, big fat and juicy raisins smoky tobacco leaf, barrel char again and some soft eating licourice. Some of those mixed caramelised nuts you get a Christmas time.
Finish: Medium. Some sweetness carried through. Bananas now, but those dried slices you get in musli etc. Starts to get spicy with pepper, ginger and clove. As things tail off there is a bit of a buzz and things get all flat. Not sure if this is because of any "additons" or something knocking things off centre from the cask blend.
