I was looking forward to Don Papa, and finally had a chance to have a taste at Trailer Happiness in London last night.

The nose is a combination of fruity/orange and cough syrup. Unfortunately this slightly off-putting fragrance carries right through to the taste, which is like a bad version of Pyrat. The finish lingers and reminds of the poor initial almost sour flavour.

Mixing with coke didn't help, and might have even made it worst. In general, I'm not sure what Don Papa is best mixed with - maybe a blended drink? I'm Interested to hear what others think.

It tastes like candy and bubblegum. We smell apricot and orange marmelade.
It's a little sweet but it's okay. It reminds a little of tutti frutti. Even if there is an addition of sugar and most certainly glycerin it is still a very good Rum to sip.

Aroma of vanilla and oranges. Taste of orange peel and spices. Sour and sweet rum with bitter end.

Sweet, sweet, Vanilla, vanilla vanilla. Too much for me. I expected more of this. Disappointed!

I bought this rum having read a solid review in Forbes magazine - Sadly this rum (?) is just so disappointing. I seriously don’t know if the smell or the taste is worse ? It is like a mixture of cough syrup and cheap soda infused with imitation vanilla essence. The only way I will get rid of this is to use as part of blind rum tastings !

Tak trochu rumová parodie, vůně a chuť Tutti frutti. To asi u rumu nechcete.
Mě prostě nesedl.
