I tend to use this rum for rum old fashions, or on the rocks for sipping. It has a nice caramel flavor to it that is very enjoyable at a low price point.
Compared to most cheaper rums, Bacardi's etc., this rum is very good. After reading some of the other reviews, I must say it does taste a bit different than before, I thought it was me. I just can't find a better one, I do admit I'm somewhat of an amateur here, so help me out. I usually have a glass with ice, let it melt for a few and than sip.
There are better values though, for sipping or mixing. Sweet, somewhat thin. I preferred putting it in a drink to having it neat.
Tasty sweet rum for sipping has nice mouth feel and notes of vanilla and caramel
pohodový rum s dominantní vanilkou v chuti a vůni
má to být alternativa k Zacapa 23, chutově snad, ale za mě má hodně krátký dojezd, proto o bod méně než Zacapa
Smooth but very very sweet and some aftertaste. There are better sippers available in the price range.
I can barely remember it as it was a small sample years ago but I recall it being on the level of Flor de Caña 12 year and a cut above Barbancourt. I haven't tried the 16 but my boss said he felt like that one was way too vanilla heavy. While I can't recall all the details of this one, I have always questioned why I never bought a bottle, so, it was good enough to make me realize that. Must have left an impression...
