Plantation 2016 Barbados Very Special Old Port Cask finished 5-Year

Had a shot in the pub. Easy drinking, smooth, slightly sweet, a bit artificial tasting. It felt like someone's idea of what Barbados rum should be like, so inoffensive and easy for whisky fans to translate to.
Weirdly, it tasted not that different to the Teeling finished Guyana Plantation, which I guess says something about their house style.
I must say that these shots have rather put me off Plantation, which is a shame as I really rather liked their Clarendon 2007

Robe plus foncée que ses confrères de la collection single cask. Attaque en bouche très douce. Facile d’approche, mais tres complexe, sur le sirop érable et le boisé. Tout en rondeur et en douceur, long en bouche. Très beau produit, un de mes préféré dans cette collection
