Ron Zacapa XO rum

Ron Zacapa XO review posted 3 years ago by OctavianCatusanu πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄ | 5 ratings

Man, I was so excited to try this out, but my experience with it was a very unpleasant one. For such an expensive rum, I was expecting a host of flavors dancing around my taste-buds, but that didn't happen at all. It was too much heat for my taste.

Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum

Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva review posted 3 years ago by OctavianCatusanu πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄ | 5 ratings

I'd like to tell you that I loved this, but I'd only advise you to get it if you're on a budget. For a budget rum, it's ok, but other than that, it's too sweet, sugary, and the flavor is quite overwhelming (butterscotch, toffee), . It's good if you've got no better alternative, but for just a little extra $ you could get a Plantation XO, and that would definitely be worth the money.

Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum

Plantation XO 20th Anniversary review posted 3 years ago by OctavianCatusanu πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄ | 5 ratings

Whenever me and my friends gather together for a drinking session, this rum is always on the table. Great party rum in my opinion, but you can also enjoy it alone with a cigar. It's a bit on the sweet side, which is always a good thing for me. It's very smooth and hits you with the vanilla flavor. And it's not an expensive rum at all. Definitely worth buying!

Dictador XO Perpetual rum

Dictador XO Perpetual review posted 3 years ago by OctavianCatusanu πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄ | 5 ratings

I loved this one as well, but I can't give it the 10 that I gave to the XO Insolent. This rum didn't hit me as sweet as the other one, but I would definitely not skip it. You should have this one in your cabinet at all times, for the people that prefer something a little bit drier than its brother. Loved it.

JB stands for Johncrow Batty which means a Turkey Vulture’s ass because we drink this mainly during times of grieving or while doing manual labor. It’s to get us drunk not to truly enjoy rum. The taste itself is not great

Pirate: I am now the proud owner of two bottles of 1931 and one bottle of Legacy. As you can see from the picture that I took in my motel room at the end of this rum running, my newly attained rums are an absolute crazy quilt! There are also too many more to be shown in one photo. It will be a few more days before I can submit my reviews....

works best with coke or rum based cocktails. tastes and smells a lot better than bacardis white rum despite residing in the same price range. you'd really have to love it though if you want to drink it pure - its clearly not meant for that. I'd pick plantations 3-star over it at any time.
