rich flavors in the nose. i don't understand why some other reviewers were harsh on it. I tried many supposedly better jamaican rhums and they could not compare. I am not a drinker, but i appreciate how smooth rhum agricole is.

This rhum is also excellent for cooking given the price and will give incredible aroma to cakes with nuts.

My all time favorite. Best rum to drink straight up.

It's a taste of the island, sweet and sugar cane accent.

All of Saint James Rhums are noteworthy. Royal Ambre is lighter than the Reserve, and both sippible and improves any cocktail.

Don't get the low ratings.... I think it has great flavour. Grassy, vegetal, over ripe banana. Perfect for Ti'punch which is big on martinique and is basically their version of the old fashioned.

Bourbon taste, makes excellent Ti Punch. Good on the rocks as well.

A very smooth aged agricole, very much more mellow than it's white cousins, worth having on the self.

A fruity aroma, the sugar cane is still there but already a little bit tamed from the wood. The wood is also in the smell, some glue, light sharp. Also in the taste the sweetness and wood is prominent, the finish is a little bit sharp.

At first the smell is a little bit non-ideal… But after the first sip it becomes very appealing.

Notes if many things, mild whisky, those flavors like vanilla cocoa, balanced with slight sweetness, little sharpness like spices.
Quickly gone, very smooth… I want more
