Venezuela | Aged | 40% ABV

Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.

This rum was first created in 1996 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the distillery, the Santa Teresa Hacienda.

Don't get me wrong, it's a really good rum. But I'm not sure if it is worth the RRP. That being said, I would never turn it down when offered.

Aroma of vanilla and honey. A little bit different to other solera rum.
But easy to drink after a good barbecue.

This is another great rum to come out of Venezuela. It has a really nice balance and lends itself to be a really nice sipper. It is also my go to for a whiskey forward cocktail when I want to substitute I a good rum!

A bit more pricey but one of the better sippers. Definitely try it.

Very nice, well balanced Rum with heaps of flavour. Enough to keep your interest for sure. A touch sweet but an easy to get along with drink.

La nouvelle édition de bouteille recèle un rhum moins somptueux qu'avant c'est triste mais quant même bon.

Tonight I opened my Santa Teresa 1796. Oaky aroma with a light Amber color. Visible legs on the glass. Taste is not sweet with mild spice and oak. Short finish. It is a good rum but I prefer them with a longer finish in my mouth.
