Ron Zacapa XO rum

Ron Zacapa XO

Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV

Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac

The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Always good. Smooth and a little bit sweet. Never missing in my bar. Very good quality for the price.

When the overly sweetened rum meets the age and complexity it suddenly becomes worth it. A delicate, silky choice. It's not worth $120-150 but it tastes great.

I almost finished the bottle and it will be on my wishlist definitely. however the zacapa 23 is a much more rational choice (financially) since the Xoi does not taste 2-3x better as the price indicates.

I once visited a trendy cafeteria, on a special occasion, for an arts event presented there. I wanted something nice to drink (what nicer than rum?), so i went through the menu quickly, stopping right at this; 25 bucks. Ordered it without a second thought and it was actually a memorable experience! Fruity, sweet, but with a bite and kick, as well as a long aftertaste and a hearty warmth, seeping deeply inside you. Enjoyed this more than the performing artists! Not tempted enough to buy an entire bottle, but i am certainly going to order that again! I think it is expensive.

Brilliant sipping rum. I grab one each time I use the Fort Erie Duty Free.

Pretty sweet and heavy mouthfeel sugar almost caramel - nice but a tad sweet. Again, in the midst of a flight last week
