Ron Millonario Reserva Especial 15 rum is created from molasses using a 1930's Scottish column still and aged in American and Slavonian oak casks up to 15 years using the solera blending method.
The Ron Millonario company was founded in 1950, and in 2004 was purchased by the Italian Fabio Rossi.

How can you not gravitate to this old school packaging. Reminds me of old Zacapa and Centenario XX bottles. Light Amber brown color, sweet maple scent. You can immediately taste notes from it big brother XO, also reminds me of Dictator, and Papa Pillar. Too much flavoring and added sugar for my pallet, at least that’s my guess notes of maple syrup and vanilla. I can see why a lot of people love this rum but for my pallet I have surpassed this. I’ll go 7.5 and bump to an 8 for the old school packaging.

Vynikajuca a jemna solera. Mozno trocha menej znamy na Slovensku ale odporucam niekedy objednat namiesto Diplomatico Exlusiva. Je hladky a jemny.

Quite smooth and sweet rum. Sweet fruit aroma and taste of coffee, caramel with spicy end. Very good but for that you can have better alternative(eg. El Pasador De oro),

It is an old rum, made from molasses, made using the Soléra method and with additional sugar.
On the nose we immediately smell the vanilla and the butterscotch.
In mouth it's the same thing, we taste vanilla and caramel with a touch of cocoa. The finish is smooth and quite short.
This Ron is still pleasant to drink, it’s very sweet. however all of these flavours seems to be a little artificial and I think they are. the woody taste is totally absent which I find very strange for a 15 year old Ron. I find it too sweet and sugared, without real complexity.
This ron is overpriced and overrated. he is for me similar to a 23 year old Zacapa and all those "Premium" rums which are often expensive rums with a lot of additives and artificial flavors. we must not forget that they are still pleasant to drink despite everything.

Vůně: koření, švestky Chuť: sladká - hlavně hřebíček,švestky,karamel. Zajímavá hodně kořeněná chuť, která nemusí sedět každému, ale mně nevadila. Navíc láhev s obalem z palmového listí se jen tak nevidí.

Il se boit très bien.
Peut être trop, il paraît presque aromatisé "artificiellement"
Cela dit, il a un très bon goût, très rond...
My go-to-rum for a cheap and good rum. Very sweet, but so easy to drink, and so easy to like.

Aroma: Hutný, výrazný rum, s kůží, melasou a medem. (89 b)
Chuť: Krásně uhlazený, přitom výrazný a dostatečně "rumový". V dochuti včelí plástve. (91 b)
Body: 90
Shrnutí: Ochutnán během degustačního večera s kamarádem v mladoboleslavské hospodě Neuberk, jejíž majitel má širokou nabídku rumů.
Celkem jsem ochutnali 5 různých rumů z pestrého seznamu, který jsme měli k dispozici.
Všechny rumy jsem hodnotil, ovšem je možné, že kvůli rušivým vlivům v hospodě, jako kouř, se může později bodování lišit i více, než je běžné u větších vzorků nebo celých lahví, přechutnávaných doma.
Velmi zaujal jak vůní, tak chutí, uvažuju o koupi celé lahve, takže časem možná doplním i podrobnější dojmy. Shodli jsme se, že nám chutná víc než Millonario XO, což nás potěšilo, vzhledem k zhruba poloviční ceně 15y.
