Ron Plata Clásico 4-Year

For an every day rum, it's very solid. The other two evaluators are insane. Enjoy this rum!

Seriously, i dont think the others even tried it.

I spent a lot of time in and out of the Caribbean Islands, eastern Central America and northern South America while in the service. I've tasted everything from ROT GUT to $10+ resort shots, TRUST ME this is one of the better and at a great price. The only problem is that it could be a little more amber in color.

Not sure why this rum is rated so low. I love Appleton Estate but hate to pay the price. I tried this rum as a Rum and Coke Mixer and frankly I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Have been drinking Virgin Island Rum which is OK, but, in my opinion, Ron Plata Clasico is far better!! Enjoy

Pairs well with ginger beer and soda. When other rums are harsh, this is almost smooth for sipping.

Have had worse, some what hot tastes more like a silver rum

Not quite downright astringent, but fairly little to recommend it, and with a moderate level of harshness. A passable mixer, but not something I'd drink straight if almost anything else is available.
