United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

A real middle of the road rum this one. Mixes well enough and must have been alright as I finished the litre bottle. Still falls into the trap of being a mediocre Bacardi but not bad

To me, Bacardi has a very nasty after taste. All their rums that I have tried seem to have it. Sorry I just can't drink Bacardi rums.

Yes, I dislike spiced rums as they usually overdo it. But this one is not too bad, easy to drink.

Quite flavorful for a Bacardi product. I was pleasantly surprised. Still only a mixer though.

The taste is light, balanced rum, without taste. Great rum for evening summer drinks or celebrations.

Sladký, jemný, dá se popíjet, ale spíše vhodný do míchaných nápojů.

Fairly drinkable rum for spiced one, modest flavor, maybe too sweet. It is good for drinks, acceptable price for overall quality.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

What is there to say really that hasn't already been said for this rum? Bacardi Oakheart is a fine rum for the price. I bought this one out of curiosity hearing good things, and in my location in LA for the great price of a measly $11 I couldn't lose. It's a good economical rum, it tastes of the sweat oak barrel, a bit of honey, as well i get other flavors such as a taste of coffee at the end. However it does come with a bit of alcohol burn initially but over the duration of drinking it. most of it fades but still a bit lingers, i assume some of it is due to the charring the barrel which as advertised gives this rum its smoky flavor. Overall If you're short on cash and need some rum in your life you should pick this up/
