Il fait parti de mon top 5 ! de la même trempe que le diplomatico et le dos maderas !

Had this at Manchester Rum Fest, and hugely enjoyed it which is why I was surprised to see so many average reviews on here.
I found it to have a sweet initial taste followed by a smokey body and a warming aftertaste. easy to drink and nice and light that I could drink multiple.
I might not have the most discerning palette but I know what I like, and I liked this

I got it from my wife and I really like it. Smooth and nice. A rum of my taste.

Botran är en Zacapa utan så mycket socker. Denna är fantastiskt god och helt klart värd att köpa. Kostar väl hälften av Zacapan. Tillverkas i samma fabrik som Z.

In my humble opinion the best rum from Guatemala.
Dark amber colour, dense, long legs, you can feel the slow aged spirit in there.

Smell like honey, some toffee and cocoa bit of chocolate and bit vainilla (probably from the bourbon cask).

The taste is smooth, soft, delicate; of course you can feel the sweetness, the cocoa and some invitation to the wine aroma, probably because the Oporto cask aged.

I used to enjoy this rum straight up, or with a chunk of ice. This rum is also known as a 18 years old (the brand new package) and another way to enjoy it is on creams or cake, especially the caribbean christmas cake with fruits and so on the sweetness and rum's profile just gives an extra to the dessert.

un bon gout de caramel. il est très doux. très abordable. suffisamment complexe, j ai bien aimé. je le recommende mais pour 18 ans c est decevant.

Deep colour, complex flavour. A lovely high altitude solera rum.

I hope the change of the ownership of Zacapa won't influence the future of this rum.Its an almost perfect rum, typical Guatemalan, not as rich as a 23yo Zacapa but the price is the half. There is no rum in the price-class of 30€ which is better then this one. Wonderful teardrop bottle, quite heavy.Dark amber color, in the nose fruity, tasty.Compared to the smooth Zacapa a little bit of a bite in the throat, but it disappears immadiately and a little explosion of aromas follow.I start to hoard this, just for case it disappears

Une couleur généreuse et ensoleillé...très ron en bouche, des aromes de bois épicés sublimes, je ne regrette vraiment pas mon choix !!!

This is a very nice rum. It uses wine casks as part of the solera. Intensely smooth no burn at all. No funky taste or harshness or overpowering notes. This is a great blend and I highly recommend this to anyone. The price point is amazing for this quality. Could easily drink an entire bottle of this in one sitting.
