Hampden Estate 2016 The Younger LROK 5-Year

I absolutely love this rum. So many flavors. So many scents. Super funky, higher ester. Very fruity.

Awesome gift I got recently, both nose and palate very Jamaican, funky and leet with predominant musty or overriped tropical fruits, with 0 GPL added basically sweet feeling but it is honest, not synthetical sweetness. The finish is little bit peppery. There is no element in nose or palate I wouldn't be comfortable with. Alike Smith & Cross, this rum very easily gets under ones' skin. With 47% ABV the rum is really gentle and has no boring alcohol/ethanol taste/smell at all, just quality flavors.
Possibly the best rum I've ever run thru my picky mouth!

Hampden 2016 LROK The Younger combines the aromatic intensity of tropical maturation with the freshness of a young rum. With an ester content and an overall high proportion of flavour-bearing congeners, exotic aromas unfold from mango to fresh pineapple juice and orange peel to cloves.

What is this? Banana funk on the nose was thinking here we go going to be agricole overly funky but not at all…so smooth but with this banana undertone and slight burn, velvety texture what a find!

Sjukt bra! Påminner om vanliga 8an, men med.mer fruktiga estrar och lite bättre burn. Rekommenderas.

Wow I put off trying this rum and I don't know why.Its a really fresh and funky rum with the main flavours being bananna and pineapple (not artificial)and other tropical fruits.I actually prefer this to the 8 year old Hampden and @ $90au a bottle this is a bargain considering the choices at the price point

Classic hampden at a fine price.
Nose: potent with musty, overripe bananas and pineapple, caramel, gum and glue. Feels balanced.
Mouth: great body and a nice underlying fruity sweetness. The bananas and pineapple are there, wrapped in moderate funk. Integrated alcohol. Balanced lingering ending with some woody spices.

On the nose: intense sweet tropical fruits, baked bananas with honey, sweet pineapple juice, subtle mango puree, a hint of spices, hint of caramel, alcohol & gum.

On the palate: baked bananas, spices, tropical fruits, rubber & furniture polish.

In the finish: nutmeg, hint of ginger, some dark chocolate, gum, hint of tropical fruit, molasses, a little pepper.

In der Nase: intensive süße tropische Früchte, gebackene Bananen mit Honig, süßer Ananassaft, dezent Mangopüree, Hauch Gewürze, Anklang Karamell, Alkohol & Gummi.
Am Gaumen: gebackene Bananen, Gewürze, tropische Früchte, Gummi & Möbelpolitur.
Im Abgang: Muskat, Anklang Ingwer, etwas Bitterschokolade, Gummi, Hauch tropische Früchte, Melasse, etwas Pfeffer.

Skvělý rum, velmi příjemné estery s trochou dřeva a ovocnou šťavnatostí. Umím si představit, že mám doma pár láhvi. Pokud s rumem začínáte, tak sáhněte po jiném.
hodnocení 91 bodů. Pro mně zatím nejlepší Hampden (nejdivočejší). Přesně se trefili do mých chuťových buněk. Po roce edit. Rum mi porad chutna skvele, ale to absolutni nadseni mi vyprchalo.
