This cuts very close to the limit of what’s legally allowed to be *called* rum. It’s heavily diluted, and the overpowering vanilla covers up almost all of the taste of the rum that remains. It tastes like watered down vanilla extract. You get what you pay for, at $6 a bottle. I’ve paid more than that *for* vanilla extract. Artificial vanilla water. I wouldn’t even give this away, lest I insult whomever I gift it to. If you must buy spiced rum, there are many better options than this.
Was used as a mixer. It did the job and was pleasant . Picked it up for 9.50. Zero complaints.
Was pleasantly surprised with lower level Rum that had a nice fruity flavor when added to my normal diet coke mix. Found that I could enjoy several of these without much kickback. Will continue to purchase as I keep looking for differing taste in Spice Rum.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It has an interesting smell, just like cream soda. When I tasted it it immediately reminded me of sailor Jerry's, but strong hints of cream. Obvious vanilla notes, sugary, and a hint of anise. It's light and sweet but with a heavy burn. The aforementioned flavors are very subtle though, when mixed I couldn't tell the difference between it and a light rum.
