Pyrat XO Reserve

This is a fine tasting rum and is worth the purchase.

At first I was going to give this a 7 but I went ahead with 8 because its just so smooth and balanced. I think they did a great job mixing flavors. This is not a traditional rum. You can definitely taste the mixture of different rums. The aging gives this its smoothness. I didn’t taste oak which is fine by my liking. Im willing to bet most won’t like this because of the orange peel flavor, but trust me, it’s not artificial or overwhelming. It’s a quality rum for the price. Great on rocks or mixed with fruit juice. I also believe this is owned by the Patron company, also given the bottle style.

This is the 2nd bottle when i started my rum journey.Nice taste but better in a cocktail not a sipper.

I wasn’t expecting much with this but was still hugely disappointed on how bad it was. It has so many additives that it barely taste like rum anymore.

interesting orange aroma, but this stuff it s not properly aged, you have alcohol aroma and also is yoo sweet

This rum(?) tastes like a case load of rotten oranges left on a dock in Jamaica during the hot season and the monsoon season, then cheap ass alcohol is poured into the case and left for another year on the dock. Even a worse taste combination than jagger with red bull.

On the nose pretty strong ... too dark for my taste.
Body: Too strong and alcoholic ... A lot of floral, spirit hints ...
Finish: Medium. Nothing special.

I see the bottle and price and hope to be something good but nothing special at all.... I cant remember somthing good for this rum.

It doesn’t have such a full body as it’s more expensive counterparts, but still tastes excellent.
