Mi trago favorito del caribe. Me impresionó su aroma y sabor balanceado. Muy rico.

I always enjoy a good spiced rum. I've enjoyed afrohead and other special varieties. Candela is different from any other spiced rum I've had. It's technically a mamajuana - which is cool to see that the category is finally getting some serious players.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Really smooth flavor. I was surprised! It’s like a spiced version of zacapa. So so good!

Un goût de miel et épicé. C est rhum bon et mérite d être essayé. Doux et fruité.

It is aphrodisiac - as it was promoted by local people from Dominican Island.
30° feels like 38, still kicks a little.
Taste is ½way to rum. Half of it is bitter ... dunno ... sweet bitter. But ½ is cool Dominican style.
Worked OK in Mai Tai instead of orange liquor.
Try once and forget

Well rip me jib! This be a fine and unusual spiced rum... er... mamajuana. As spiced rums go, I not be a fan. "Spiced" could include anythin'... mugwort, henbane, cilantro, ginger, baby, scary... ALL the spices. Still, she smells sweet and a little spicy, but the biggest bein' cola of all things. Aye, oak be in there... some other spices I can't fathom, and unless I am mistook, a hint of anise... and maybe even wintergreen. Sarsaparilla. On the tongue, she be smooth, but not as sweet. The cola comes on board first, but then all the other spices gang up on you all at once - along with a wee cinnamon fella who be even less noticeable than the anise. On the first shot, there be a tiny hint of bitterness, which may be from the wine that goes in it, but it be barely noticeable at first, and gone completely after four or five shots across the bow. This be a SMOOTH rum... er... mamajuana with zero burn goin' down the hatch. This be TOO good to give it a 10... but I be a suspicious type... only a half a bottle in. Might this be a good sippin' rum? Fire and thunder! Aye! Scupper, sink, and burn me if I be lyin'... arrgh!

To me this just tastes like a Rum based Jagermeister. I get some honey flavor as well as anise. If you like Jager shots, consider adding this into your rotation, but definitely different than other rums or rum based drinks I have tried.

This is different from anything I have ever consumed. I love the Herby/medicinal flavors you get. I know that’s not for everybody. If this is something you enjoy though give this one a try.

This is the closest you get to the beaches, feeling that breeze and having your toes stuck in the Dominican Republic sand, for me leaving my home country and being able to have Candela in the US is something you cant describe easily. 100% recommended.

Candela Mamajuana is a phenomenal spiced rum. It's great neat or mixed. I prefer a Mijita, which is Candela's take on a mojito. It truly is a game changer. I also had the best Pina Colada with Candela in it. It truly taste like vacation. I cant wait to see for what the Candela Brand has in store for the future.
