Casa Magdalena Blanco

I first tried this rum at the 2018 California Rum Festival where it stood out to me as a very good rum for only about $20.

Smells and tastes of sugar, sugar cane, grass, pepper, and flowers. A really nice rum for the money!

Appearance: clear
Aroma: rubbing alcohol and a touch of mango
Flavor: hot with notes of mango and dust. Finishes sweeter than it starts, but that does not mean I enjoyed it

Nice rum for mixing..... that's about it. Gives any drink a bite.

Tasted at Swaylos on 12-9-23. Pours clear. Mild Anise aroma. Flavor is thin and isopropyl like. Mild sucrose. Little bit of banana. Not great.

It wasn't the best thing I've had all night, rough.

Sharp. Rough on the rocks. Drinkable but not desirable with Coke. A bit of grass.
