Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled

Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.

The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

I seriously smooth rum with a very light taste best straight or on the rocks, don't ruin it by mixing it has it already tastes great on its own. For $54 a bottle you can't go wrong. I usually pick it up by the case as it goes out of stock on a regular basis and I hate being without my bottle of plantation XO.

One of the best rums I've tried. Seriously. Not burning and with a great taste.

Excellent choice for sipping! Smooth, moderately sweet - not too much though. Plantation XO is definitely the kind of flavour that suits me best when it comes to rum, so far.

On the sweeter side. Nice oak presence from the time in French casks.

Beautifully smooth with a nice sweetness, perfect neat leave nothing to be desired except another glassful and a cheaper price tag. We’re getting gouged here in Australia at $100 per bottle of this.

This is an excellent sipping rum. Another rum that is affordable and delicious. It’s a good starting point for new sippers

The Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is a blend from Barbados Rums that was first stored in bourbon barrels and then in French oak barrels. The exact storage time is not known. The bottle is one of the most stylish in my collection. The rum has 40% alcohol and the sugar content is 20-30g/l.

In the nose the rum is mild and it makes it clear that it is a sweet rum. This is confirmed on the palate. He shows that he is sugared. However, the sugar is very well integrated and vanilla and tropical fruits are recognizable. The sharpness is pleasant and only a little too strong at the first premature sip. The finish is short with the same notes. Light wood notes are added. The plantation is generally mild and easy to drink. A convivial rum and perfect for a cozy round in which the drink is not necessarily in the foreground.

For me the old XO from Plantation has been one of the best for a long time and the reasons why I bought this. At that time I was looking for sweet rums. Shortly afterwards I tried a Clement Single Cask and reoriented myself in taste. That's why the bottle has been with me for a long time now. Time to finish it. The Plantation XO no longer impresses me but is also not disappointing. Who ever likes a pleasing rum is making no mistake buying this one. Also probably one of the best beginner rum. But the added sugar is not good.

Had this in a cocktail bar, it is damn amazing, easy to drink, sweet and inviting for more. Too bad it was only 40ml, but definitely I will be looking to buy a bottle of this one.

Delicious full and soft taste, with trace of vanilla, cocoa and cinnamon. Sweet mild end... Super sipping buddy for its price.
Love it!
