The liquid is a darker amber. Outstanding aroma in the bottle and sweet flavor with buttery vanilla-butterscotch taste that fades temporarily when the burn hits. Fairly strong burn but fades quickly leaving a good lingering taste. Arguably the best rum for the price. Works as a smooth sipping rum as well as a mixer.

I am rapidly becoming a big fan of the line of Plantation rums.

Great rum for the pricepoint - great for sipping and mixed cocktails!

A must have for any collection. Full bodied and rich flavoured, surprisingly smooth for a 5 yr. Eye-catching bottle, etc. Good enough to sip, cheap enough to mix. After ED 5, the best 5 out there.

This is actually of one the cheapest rums you can buy at the swedish monopoly and I have to say it's fantastic for the price you pay (at least here in Sweden)

Color: 4/5, nice light color. Nose: 8/10, very mild hints of coconut.
Taste: 16/20. Very round taste; dies a bit quick.
Really good value for money.

Full disclosure, I'm new to rum.. But from what I've experienced thus far, a fantastic rum for the price. It's exceptionally smooth and surprisingly complex. Sweet up front, with a warm finish. Not overly sweet (which I dislike).
I give it an 8.

This is a dryer version of the 20th anniversary version.
I loved the 20th and really liked this one.
Some may even prefere it since it is less sweet. In anyway it is a great value for money.

It is definitely aged. You will notice it just from first sip. Sweet enough with taste of wood and flowers. Rich taste and smell. Just set 8 for its smell, really like it. Really good aftertaste.

This rum was a bit disappointing at first. It had a strong nose on ethanol and the first taste was somewhere between rum with an aftertaste of vodka. But after a few days the taste changed and became much more pleasant.
