This is only good in a Piña Colada. Stopped in Nassau the local bar used it to make the best Pina Colada u have ever had.
I purchased this bottle a few months ago in Nassau, the Bahamas while on the "cruise from hell". We promised friends to bring back rum. That, in of itself, is a long story.
One of the liquor shops in Nassau was having a sample tasting of the Ron Ricardo coconut rum and my wife liked it. This also was on the shelf so I bought a bottle of it as well. Being a coconut rum it's 30% ABV rather than the standard 40% ABV for rums. It has a distinct coconut aroma in the bottle along with a slight astringent odor. It is a sweet rum with a heavy coconut flavor. A little too heavy in my humble opinion. However it is more than suitable as a mixer. A good, inexpensive rum to pick up on vacation in the Bahamas.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

One would think that in Nassau fine Rum would be had but alas I was very disappointed. My particular bottle had the weakest of coconut flavoring and at the end of the sip a most unpleasing after task akin to being stale. Definitely not a sipper which I wasn't expecting but a tropical delight it was not.
