I'm from Maryland. I ain't Rum and neither is this. Similar to such horrible favorites as Koloa Kaua'I Dark and cheap vanilla extract. not worth even a buck.

Has a nice color and has a nice flavor for sipping. But once you stack it against other rums, all you taste is vanilla. Not bad, but there are better rums.
This is a nice rum. Well balanced and just a touch on the sweet side - but not close to be syrupy. While it carries a price point that puts it on the shelf with inferior product - the actual taste and feel of the rum allows it to punch above its weight class. Nice to sip and mix it if you must, either way you will be proud of yourself for finding such a high quality rum in in this price point

It comes from the Caribbean and definitely reminds me of some of the ones I had down there (at least in PR). Sweet, but not sickeningly so, and enough interest on the palate, but not overly complex per se. Could be a decent sipper or a really good mixer.

Very light and sweet. Lots of added sugar. Put this Maryland distilled rum against Flor de Cana 12 and Mount Gay black Barrel. This was clearly superior to the mount gay. Surprised by the quality. Not complete swill to be relegated to mixer status.
