A sweet, friendly, and delicate rum. Fruity in a gentle way (some apple, banana, lychee and other lighter tropical fruits), easy to drink both in the mix as on the rocks. I emptied a quarter of a bottle with a friend and it was much more sympathetic and easy going than the quite harsh spirit of the apparently 12 years aged Tanduay, which was also on the table.
By the way, this is the "gold" version and not the "coconut" as suggested by Richard's rating.
Had a lot of coconut rums in my history, but none come close to this one. Strong coconut flavor (embarrasses Malibu) that makes mixed drinks come alive. Take the chance if you can get your hands on this one.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

At the Travelers rum tasting, this stood out as a relative greatness. $10usd for one of the most pleasantly sunshine tasting rums I've ever had. Unpretentious pleasure. I've yet to try it as a mixer but I have high hopes.
