Never tasted a more nutty run before. The taste more on the whiskey side but still smooth nutty and tary. Good.
Duft af kanel, frugt og træ. Blød smag med en anelse frugt og fad. Lang finish med lidt hint af krydderi til sidst. Ikke den større oplevelse men heller ikke den værste. 22. December 2018.
Tres Hombres is rather unique in the way that they store the rum in casks, that is on board a ship that sails across the Atlantic Ocean. I was rather curious if this would do something good to the rum, or if it would just be a marketing ploy.
Nose: Overripe fruit, light rubber and muscovado brown sugar
Taste: Light taste of syrup, banana, mango and a small hint of oak.
Overall: The phrase "Flawed with a glimmer of hope" fits perfectly for this rum, because it feels like this could be good, but it just haven´t got the time to be "finished". A few more years and maybe a higher proof and this would be a much better rum.
Söt i doften, kola och choklad i smaken. Mild men lite kryddig i slutet. Kort eftersmak.
Interesting looking bottle but it smells like an old leather couch in a smokers home. Taste is too light but the flavor is of burnt molasses, spices and has a bit of bitterness in the body. Gentle burning in the tail reminds me of agricole. Trying to think of something special about this rum but I’m hard pressed. Smoke taste remains even with cola.
Smells like an old leather couch and a hint of poor quality wood. Tastes a bit of pear but reminds me of the inexpensive and under aged barcelo rums. Too light but the flavour is adequately pleasant. Trying to think of something special about this rum but it eludes my senses.

Im Glas etwas zwischen Bernstein und Waldhonig.
In der Nase, Vanilleeis mit Pistazienkernen, Tannennadeln auf getoastetem, karamellisierten Eichenholz, Mango und Banane, Kohle und Vulkanasche.
Im Gaumen ganz zart, leicht und dezent. Karamell und Vanille bilden eine solide Basis, begleitet von tropischen Früchten und Holztönen.
Im Abgang zuerst recht scharf, danach klingen Holz und Karamell nach.
Ein gutgemachter "leichter" Rum für alle Tage. Aus einer anderen Gegend die man auch mal probiert haben muss.
In the glass something between amber and forest honey.
In the nose, vanilla ice cream with pistachio seeds, fir needles on toasted, caramelized oak, mango and banana, charcoal and volcanic ash.
On the palate very delicate, light and discreet. Caramel and vanilla form a solid base, accompanied by tropical fruits and wood tones.
The finish is quite spicy at first, then wood and caramel linger.
A well made "light" rum for all days. From another area that one must have tried also times.
