Ultimatum Guyana Diamond 12-Year

Macht eigentlich fast keinen Sinn diese Flasche zu bewerten, es wurden ja nur 316 abgefüllt.
Aber einen Rum aus der Diamond Destillerie sollte man nicht unerwähnt lassen.
Sehr helles klares Honiggelb im Glas, wie aus dem Fass, keine Farbstoffe !
In der Nase, ein frisch mit Butter bestrichenes und mit Blumen und Früchten belegtes Holzofenbrot
das in einer frisch eingewachsten Schublade aus Eichenholz liegt.
Im Gaumen, eine Welt voller Harmonien, etwas speziell für einen "single cask", so geschmeidig.
Auch die 46% Vol. "beissen" nicht.
Reife rote und gelbe Früchte und Beeren werden auf einem geröstetem Eichenbrett serviert das zuvor in Karamell eingelegt wurde. Leicht rauchige und harzige Nuancen runden das ganze ab. Keine Zusätze !
Der Abgang lang und herrlich, wir verweilen noch ein wenig in der Backstube und geniessen das Gebäck.
Ein wirklich perfekter Demerara Rum ohne Zusatzstoffe und Kompromisse.
Ich denke so ungefähr ist der El Dorade bevor er für den Massenmarkt "geschminkt" wird.

But a rum from the Diamond distillery should be mentioned.
Very bright clear honey yellow in the glass, as from the barrel, no dyes!
In the nose, a freshly butter-coated wood-oven bread covered with flowers and fruits
which is located in a freshly waxed drawer of oak wood.
In the palate, a world full of harmonies, something special for a "single cask", so supple.
Also the 46% Vol. "Do not bite".
Ripe red and yellow fruits and berries are served on a roasted oak board which was previously put into caramel. Slightly smoky and resinous nuances round off the whole. No additives!
The finish is long and splendid, we still linger a little in the bakery and enjoy the pastries.
A really perfect Demerara Rum without additives and compromises.
I think this is about the El Dorade before he is "made up" for the mass market.
