Nose: The alcohol is extremely well integrated, it is relatively elegant for a Caroni, herbal honey, asphalt, toasted oak, slightly smoky, nuts, molasses and some bitter orange, camphor
Taste: Candied nuts, walnuts and peanuts, benzene, bitter orange and orange oil, ginger, camphor, molasses, heartier than on the nose but still the alcohol is well integrated, not very complex though
Finish: Camphor, ginger, benzene, citrus zest, medium length, again quite round
Comment: To be honest, quite boring for a Caroni, not complex, not even as funky as you'd want.

Nice Caroni

With an amber color, this rum plunges us into the Caroni's world. The first nose opens with notes of asphalt, tarmac and a smoky side. After a long opening, the fruits arrive: candied fruits, on pastry notes.
In mouth, the attack is alcoholic and one finds the fruits, the tarmac and the bitumen. There is also tobacco, with final spices, clove. Very nice rum to discover Caroni without being too powerful to discourage the beginners.
